After completing studies at the SCARBORO SCHOOL OF MUSIC, d. g. robertson, chose HASTINGS COLLEGE, Hastings Nebraska, to receive his continuing education. After pursuing a course of study in Fine Art, he graduated MAGNA CUM PELLIDENTIUM and began to establish a regional following for his work in both Sculpture and Production Services for live performances. For the last three decades the balance of these two disciplines has proven to be the perfect combination to lead his career to the place it is today.
With his unique vision of the various medium’s expressive qualities, robertson has constantly created new techniques for his artistic style. As a result, his career has climbed steadily into a national reputation with a body of work comprising over two hundred commissioned pieces represented in both private and museum exhibitions and collections across the country.
Equally significant is his background in live performance. His work in music and the theatre has taken him to 42 states and six foreign countries, as well as inside a mountain in Colorado for a live recording project. Some of robertson’s Production and Design credits include work with such diverse clients as: TIA SILLERS, SHEL, THE DITTY BOPS, TURBINE, SPRING CREEK , THE WAYBACKS , VINCENT PRICE, THE ARTY SHAW ORCHESTRA, THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY, NEBRASKA PUBLIC TELEVISION and various SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAS nationwide.
In his most recent works, robertson has combined the elements of Large Scale Sculpture with musical performance to create one of a kind playable Fantasy Instruments that have been utilized by the critically acclaimed composer/producer, CRAIG PARSONS in orchestral performances.
As the current CEO of Dynasaur Sound and Light , robertson continues to provide quality Production Services to discriminating clientele nationwide . He has also been utilized in his own community by both Hastings College and Central Community Collage to provide Audio and Production classes to their students
In his spare time, robertson collects ‘pocket sundials" , continues to build and drive ArtCars and other unique vehicles , and is continuing his further studies in Umbrology.
